On Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 9:20 p.m., a business on Route 206 in Somerville was broken into by Emmanuel Tolentino, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr. said. Tolentino made off with cash, authorities said.
On Friday, Nov. 29 at 1:45 a.m. Tolentino broke into a business on Route 22 East in Green Brook, prying open the door and breaking into cash registers using a pry tool, making off with cash, authorities said.
Almost 30 minutes later, Tolentino broke into another business on Route 22 in North Plainfield, using a crowbar to open the cash register and take cash following an attempted burglary at another business, authorities said.
On Monday, December 2, at 9:15 p.m., Tolentino broke into the same business in Somerville and again made off with cash, authorities said. Less than an hour later, Tolentino and a 17-year-old Roselle resident were caught on video surveillance committing three burglaries at a strip mall in Bridgewater, making off with cash, authorities said. They also took cash from a business on Washington Valley Road in Warren Township that night, authorities said.
Tolentino was arrested in early December and in late January for the various burglaries he committed, authorities said. The 17-year-old was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 23, authorities said.
He was recently charged with two counts of burglary, one count of theft and one count of criminal mischief for the burglary and attempted burglary that occurred in North Plainfield in November, authorities said.
He has not been served with this criminal complaint and is wanted for these charges, authorities said. Authorities are asking anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of Tolentino to contact either the North Plainfield Police Department or the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office., authorities said.
